37mileads.com FAQ

1. How do I post an ad?

Posting ads is easy.

ü     Go to the Home page of the city/state you would like your ad to appear in and click "POST FREE CLASSIFIED AD NOW" link at the top section of the page.

ü     Select the neighboring towns you would like your ad to appear in, or simply select nothing and click "NEXT".

ü     Select the category you would like your ad to appear in

ü     Fill in your posting information. Only the Posting Title/Description and Email are mandatory fields.

o       You may use HTML to format your posting.

o       You may attach up to four images to your posting.

ü     Click "Post AD"

ü     Either confirm or modify the ad. If you're confirming, be sure to fill in the picture verification (we have to do this to make sure you're human and not a robot)

ü     When you're done, click "Post It Now"

ü     On the confirmation page, you will see the URL to your ad. Below that is the HTML you can use to link back to your ad. You can use this to promote your posting on other websites or message boards.

ü     If you would like to post another ad, you can click on any of the 4 links above your current posting's URL to different state, city, category, or simply to the same category. The text at the bottom of the page tells you how you can attract more attention to you posting by following a few simple steps.

That's it. Have fun posting!

2. When will my ad expire?

- Free ads expire in 30 days

- Paid ads expire in 120 days

3. How many people will see my ad?

Depending on how well your posting is written, and how much interest is on the topic of your ad, the number of page views may vary. Paid ads will have better exposure than the free postings because they have better visual positioning on our site. But even if you choose to post for free, your ad will still get picked up by the search engine since our website is well search-engine optimized.

By allowing HTML in the postings, we want to put the power in your hands. You see search engines not only look at what you write, but also how you format certain keywords. You can put emphasis on the key words of your choice by formatting your text accordingly in HTML, so your ad on our site will win over a similar but unformatted ad on a different website.

4. How much does it cost to post an ad?

ü     Free (non commercial ads) if you want your ad to appear locally

ü     3.99 For all local commercial ads (Real Estate, Jobs and Services)

ü     4.99 if you want your ad to appear at the top of the page in your category of posting as part of the Preferred Sponsors

ü     9.99 if you want your ad to appear state-wide

ü     39.99 nation-wide if you want your ad to appear in over 40,000 cities in the US

See "Why Pay?" for more information.

5. Why are there no advertisements on your site?

Because we believe in the goodness of mankind! Just kidding. But seriously, we believe in providing a good service that is worth paying for. We don't believe in polluting the website with outside ads, sometimes very irrelevant, or even competitive to our own postings. We don't think it offers value to you as posters. Our goal is to have a visually and functionally appealing classified ad site that is all-inclusive (as in we won't rule you out simply because you live in a town of 1000 people).

6. Do you take donations?

Yes. All of your paid-ads are donation to keep this great site going.

7. Who can I contact for more questions?

clientservicesmail@gmail.com

8. How do I search for ads on your site?

Click on "Search Ads" at the top section of categories page. Type your search key words. You can search through the major categories of your city, and even nationwide and statewide ads.

9. How do you prevent my email address from getting into the hands of wrong people if I write it in my posting by accident?

We want to protect you from spammers, so we mask all the email address in your posting and redirect it to our email page, so any one interested in replying to your ads will need to contact you through our site without the knowledge of your actual email.

10. What are all those cute little images at the bottom of all your pages?

RSS feeds and Social bookmarks! We're moving forward with the latest website technologies to help our customers reach more people through our site. There is an RSS feed on each page that people can subscribe to and get updates about the postings of a particular city/town/category. You can even subscribe to RSS feeds of search results. So instead of checking back at the site regularly, you can simply see the updated information in your feed reader. If you are still not sure what an RSS feed is, Wikipedia does a better job explaining RSS FEED

As to the rest of those little icons, they point to all the cool social bookmaking websites where anyone who finds your posting useful can bookmark your ad page and share their bookmarks with their friends and anyone who might be interested in their bookmarks.

So what does all this mean? Make your posting as interesting as possible if you want to get noticed. Make it pretty and make it flashy!

That's it. Have fun posting!
