What is the GO Project?
The GO Project provides year-round academic, enrichment and social services to 250 at-risk elementary public school students.
The GO Project helps these public school students to achieve grade-level performance and to improve self-esteem through two programs: GO Summer, a five-week, full-day summer school program and GO School, an individualized tutoring program meeting on twenty-two Saturdays throughout the school year. A professional teacher models a lesson, activity or project to a classroom of students. Volunteer tutors continue to work with the students on the lesson. One tutor works with two to four students.
