SAMSUNG USA HORRIBLE LEVEL OF SERVICE AND MY
SAMSUNG BD-P 1000 BLU-RAY DVD PLAYER
I bought Samsungs BD-P 1000 Blue-Ray DVD player from Circuit City
in August of 2006 (2 months after Samsung started selling it). Shortly after,
this BD-P 1000 started giving me the following problems:
It started setting parental controls on its own. After I
turned that Samsung BD-P 1000 Blu-ray DVD player off and on, settings were
automatically changed to the level where it was asking me to enter parental password
even to watch cartoons.
- After
about 3 months from purchase date it stopped playing blu-ray discs. I
called Samsung at 1-800-726-7864 and I was told that someone will come out
and service that Samsung BD-P 1000 Blu-ray DVD player. 3 times I called to
schedule - I was promised that somone will come every time and no one came.
- I got
fed up with it and I stopped calling Samsung USA. I don’t have time calling
them over and over again. My time more valuable than making stupid phone
calls that never gets me anywhere.
- Couple
of months ago I tried watiching blu-ray DVD again on that SAMSUNG BD-P
1000 blu-ray DVD PLAYER and I called Samsung USA again and I was told to
go to the Samsungs web site and download the patch. I did it with
representative over the phone guiding me through what to click on the Samsungs
web site – My Samsung BD-P 1000 Blu-ray DVD player STARTED WORKING after I
installed that patch.
- After
a while that Samsung BD-P 1000 Blu-ray DVD player stopped working again.
First of all, representative Eddie was not able to find my call records
(!!). He also said that Samsung never sends anyone to service DVD players
at home (!!) He also said that there were no calls from me about this
Samsung BD-P 1000 DVD Blu-ray player in the past. He also said that
BECAUSE I INSTALLED THAT PATCH MY WARRANTY IS VOIDED. He also said that
it’s been over 12 months since I bought that Samsung BD-P 1000 Blu-ray DVD
player and now I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF MY OWN POCKET FOR PARTS AND LABOR TO
GET IT REPAIRED AND I HAVE TO MAIL IT IN (which will cost more to repair
than purchase a new one).
I got ripped off by Samsung and I gave away $1000 (thats
how much I paid for it in 2006) to Samsung to get headaches and unacceptable
level of service.
I WILL NEVER IN MY
LIFE PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG AGAIN!!!!!!
