| • The Senior Tax Analyst for tax compliance will report to the Federal Tax Director and be primarily responsible for preparation and review of consolidated quarterly tax provision, the preparation/review of the consolidated annual income tax provision, and assist in the preparation of the federal consolidated tax return.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE:
• Preparation/review of the consolidated provision for income taxes under FAS 109 (including FIN 48 Accounting for Tax Uncertainties) and related Footnote disclosures for 10Q’s and 10K
• Assist with documentation for FAS 109 and FIN 48 tax positions
• Assist the tax department with requirements of Section 404 of the Sarbanes Oxley Act. Liaison with Internal Audit as required for SOX testing
• Gather information which will allow financial forecast and modeling of the effective tax rate
• Assist in the Preparation/Review of consolidated Federal tax return including preparation and/or review of separate company Federal returns
• Assist in drafting responses to IDR’s related to Federal audits
• Assist with other tax department special projects
• Develop and maintain a knowledge of Federal and state income tax laws and current developments
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience which should include Big 4 public accounting firm & large multinational corporate tax department
• PC knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office applications
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• CPA and Masters degree in taxation preferred
• Experience with tax compliance software preferably Corptax
• Big Four Tax Experience preferred
