Responsibilities:
• Prepare and assist in project management of international compliance team functions in order to timely and accurately file required US tax filings of Non US entities.
• Assist in the quarterly forecast of Non US entities creating US taxable income inclusions for estimated tax implications.
• Assist in the Non US FAS 109 reporting process.
• Develop, improve, and maintain standard documented processes for the international tax return process. Coordinate and liaise with the business units in the field, counterparts in the domestic and state reporting groups, and 3rd party vendors, to accomplish department’s objectives.
• Assist Directors of International Reporting as needed on special projects.
• Provide analysis and support for planning transactions and audit as requested to aid in international tax planning initiatives and audit support.
Candidate Profile:
• 4+ years of corporate tax experience with a minimum of 2 years international tax experience (see chart above as to the amount of time spent in Federal/International Tax in his role).
• Experience in the following: Subpart F, PFIC, Boycott, FTC and income & expense sourcing knowledge(861-8), Withholding tax issues for reporting, F5471, F8865, F1118, F5472, F1042, FAS 109 accounting for income taxes; good foundation in accounting.
• A general understanding of withholding tax issues for reporting, treaty position and protective return filings is a plus.
• BA in Accounting required; MST or CPA preferred; MBA and/or LL.M. a real plus.
• Exposure and/or familiarity with CORPTax, Microsoft suite, Internet tax research ability
• Any foreign language is a plus.
