Our client, an educational medical facility, seeks an experienced Internal Control Analyst for a temp-to-perm position starting immediately.
Job duties
Development and execution of comprehensive internal control functions.
Review control documentation, evaluate control design, and review effectiveness of testing results.
Identify and analyze deficiencies in internal controls, recommend changes/develop remediation plans, track remediation efforts.
Identify compensating controls where required.
Work in advisory capacity with control owners in control development and design.
Work with external auditors in attestation procedures.
Prepare management reports as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
Minimum 4 years relevant work experience, internal audit/external audit/accounting.
Strong understanding of GAAP, Auditing Standards and COSO.
Project leader experience preferred.
Strong writing and communications skills.
Proven success in teamwork environment.
Ability to drive change in the organization that will conform to internal control plan.
Must be self motivated with strong project management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent computer skills, including MS Office; Visio a plus.
CPA preferred (CIA as well is a plus).
