Position Description
Eriksen Translations is searching for a Vendor Manager to oversee the recruiting, testing, quality control, and database management of our extended network of freelance professionals. This position reports directly to the President/CEO. Your duties and responsibilities are divided as follows:
Vendor Management
? Manage database containing over 6,000 language professionals
? Monitor performance and follow up with vendors
? Liaise with vendors to address and resolve quality issues
? Recruit and source vendors
? Coordinate and manage the testing of new vendors
? Track independent contractor agreements and tax forms
? Analyze and support the requirements of the production team
? Maintain a record of vendor feedback
Internship Coordination
? Recruit qualified candidates from translation and interpretation schools
? Liaise with school representatives to design internship programs that fit the needs of both students and the company
? Interview and test candidates
? Supervise and evaluate the interns? progress
Requirements
? Bachelor?s Degree and at least two years experience in the localization industry
? Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
? Strong problem-solving, research, and organizational skills
? Must be detail-oriented and have strong computer skills

A positive attitude along with an aptitude for customer service and strong negotiation skills are needed.
