It's shocking to see that this email was sent by the Mayor's Alliance for Animals. Why? Because the Alliance is keeping silence about the horrendous policies of the new Executive Director of the NYC Animal Care and Control which has resulted in more animals being euthanized daily, programs like the Big Fix slashed down in times when it is most needed, replacement of kennels in the adoption area wich has cut the number of animals on display for adoption to half, unexplicable moving and further isolation of sick animals at the shelters, suspension of rescue groups that are members of the New Hope program, and the resignation of many ACC staff members, including Elizabeth Keller.
Is this an attempt by the devil's woman Jane Hoffman who runs the Mayor's Alliance to buy silence from Ms. Keller?
It's a disgrace that we New Yorkers are being lied about the horrible situation at the city shelters where so many animals are being killed every day in one of richest cities in the world, where silence may be bought with a new job at the expense of those innocent animals (babies, adults, seniors) being slaughtered.
Please write to the Mayor of New York City, Mr. Blumberg, and let him know your concerns about the horrible situation at our city shelters. Let him know that you are a tax payer living in a rich city and want to know why our shelters are underfunded, run by the Health Department, and have an executive director that is creating chaos at the city shelters resulting with more animals being euthanized. And when you write to him, please think about those lovely innocent faces waiting on line every morning to be taken inside the room where they are going to be killed. Think about those lovely innocent faces behind the fake statistics of "euthanasia numbers are down" Think of them and do it for the others who are waiting on line every morning to be taken inside the euthansia room and have no one but us to speak for them. And, please, think of them too before you try to flag this post. Thanks.
