| Social Worker (Lower East Side) ***New York NY*** | | Flag this posting as inappropriate Click here to contact posting owner | | | The Educational Alliance, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit located in lower Manhattan seeks an experienced Social Worker to provide psychotherapy and case management services to chemically dependent clients ages 18-70 within a residential drug/alcohol treatment facility, maintain a caseload of clients and meet with caseload weekly for individual & group sessions.
Social Worker will provide clients with referrals and assist with obtaining appropriate services and resources; liaise and coordinate services with Criminal Justice System, consulting psychiatrist and medical care provider; participate in intake, outreach and screening of clients, provide counseling and referral services to clients? families. Will also attend case conferences, and other meetings; complete and maintain documentation including treatment plans & reviews, psychosocial assessments, progress and session notes, discharge plans, and computerized HRA reports.

Qualifications:
MSW and/or CASAC required. Two years? experience with substance abuse clients preferred. Knowledge of MS Office and Lotus Notes applications. Ability to multitask and handle challenging situations in a professional, courteous and friendly manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. Willingness to work as part of a team.
